Wills
Called "Last Will & Testament": This legal document has set many families at odds with each other. When a person dies with a will, the estate still must go through Probate. Many Wills can end up in heated court debates. And some have probably been read with many tears flowing, and still others have resulted in violence. So when one creates a Last Will & Testament, he or she must do it with sincere and deep thought. One should weigh all the pros and cons, and then make their final decision. Changing your Will
Don't despair if you have written a Will, and later feel the need to change it! We can assist you if you if you need to make changes to the Will. We can also notarize your signature, of course.
Living Trust
Hatcher Notary normally refers out their requests for typing up Trusts, but we can assist you with gathering the appropriate information for your Trust.
Living Will
A Living Will is not a Last Will & Testament, but it is your personal instructions from you to your physicians and even to your family concerning what your desires are concerning your final moments here of life. What is your desire if you become ill, and feel that you have no real hope of recovery. Would you wish to be on "Life Support" for months, or weeks? General Power of Attorney
Let's talk about choosing the right person, and the right alternate person to put in charge of your estate. You may feel that you have nothing, but those left behind will feel differently once you are gone. The General Power of Attorney is a document which gives the person appointed as your 'Attorney-in-fact" the power to: conduct business on your behalf, up to and including the power to sale the Grantor's real estate, should the need arise. Therefore, with the General Power of Attorney with Durable provisions, the First person grants power to the second person as it relates to the First person's Business: "to transact business of any kind or class and the the grantors attorney-in-fact, may "ask for, demand, sue, recover, collect and receive cash each and every sum of money, debt, account, legacy, bequest, interest, dividend annuity and demand (which now or hereafter shall become due, owning, payable). Note: This document should be recorded with the County Recorder.
Power to access your Bank Account
Normally this requires a special form from the Bank of the person granting the power.
Revocation of Power of Attorney
Once you issue a Power of Attorney, you don't have to feel trapped. If you feel for "any reason", that you need to change the person or persons to whom you have granted a Power of Attorney, of any kind, remember, you can Revoke that Power of Attorney, and reissue it. Legal Separation
Forms are normally handled by Family Court. This is a document which can be used, if the couple is considering Divorce, but are not ready to make that final step.

We hope it never happens. But though it is a sticky subject, it is one with which Hatcher Notary can assist our clients in getting the correct forms, or point you in the right direction to get help, so that a Divorce does not end up costing you a fortune.
